David Kleiman has a litigation practice, with emphasis on cases involving residential and commercial construction, business and consumer disputes, interpretation of contracts, and surety law. He became licensed to practice law in 1986. David is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. 

David is a past chair of the Dallas Bar Association Construction Law Section. In addition to acting as an advocate for his clients, David serves as a neutral on the American Arbitration Association's construction panel. David has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in Construction Litigation every year from 2008-2022, is recognized by Martindale-Hubbell Attorney Directory with the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating, (the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards), and has been chosen by Corporate International Magazine Legal Award as a Construction Lawyer of the Year In Texas, for 2013.

David has counseled and represented clients on issues including:
  • commercial and residential construction disputes, including those involving foundation defects, mold claims and other construction defects;
  • claims involving the Residential Construction Liability Act;
  • surety bond claims and litigation involving private, state and federal construction; 
  • general business disputes and litigation;
  • lien laws for private and public projects;
  • interpretation of contracts and agreements;
  • claims involving misrepresentations and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act; and 
  • construction defaults
